A new year’s resolution everyone can make….

Save and Protect UK Parks!

From the National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces:

Please join the effort by widely promoting the ‘Save Our Parks’ UK petition:
Let’s make the protection and improvement of our open spaces an issue in the May 2015 General Election.

Save Our Greenspaces Liverpool

A small group has set up an alliance in Liverpool to campaign for our parks and greenspaces, including Sefton Park Meadows, Woolton Woods, and Walton Hall Park. Other sites alongside the Meadows are being targeted by LCC and developers, pushing for greenspaces to be included as development sites in the new Liverpool Local Plan.  Ten  groups have set up Save Our Greenspaces Liverpool (SOGL), and are now meeting regularly to support each other’s campaigns,  share information, scrutinise council committees and minutes, and plan protests and events.  SOGL is also supported by councillors from the Green Party, Lib Dems and independents.
